Web Developer/Digital Librarian - Centre for Global eHealth Innovation | 2008

For a short time I worked at the Centre for Global eHealth Innovation at University Health Network. The Centre is a joint effort between UHN, an organization of some of the best clinical care and research hospitals in Toronto and the University of Toronto. It brings together researchers who are looking at ways to improve health care through the use of information technology.

At UHN I managed the development and rebuild of an archiving system and website used by scientists for citing and archiving open journal research. I rebuilt the site using Ruby and Rails which involved a long process of database migration while preserving the existing archives, the addition of new several features and a new abstraction layer to the archiving engine.

I really enjoyed working on the project at UHN but my time was cut short there after being accepted to Queen's Technological Education.
