16kB built the iConstructs project for a professor and researcher at the Schulich School of Business one of the world's leading business schools. The web based system records the connections between business research articles and the ideas or constructs behind them. These can then be cataloged and organized in order to look at connections and emerging trends.

In order to collect the amount of research needed users are required to input their own data. Allowing the authors themselves to input their research required that the process be as simple as possible. This was a challenge as the data required many different fields with complex relationships. The forms to input the data also required validation in many different ways in order to ensure that the data was consistent and correctly entered.

The project is online and open to members of the business research community.
